Our Kickstarter project is live. We’re in the process of restoring a beautiful 1932 Chandler & Price New Series 10x15 letterpress printing press that we rescued from being sold as scrap and melted. It’s an amazing 2100-lb cast iron beast that makes lovely paper goodies, from wedding stationery to business cards. We’re looking to offer our amazing city (Lynchburg, Virginia) and the surrounding area eco-friendly, local, and awesome custom-designed letterpress printed stuff. We have an awesome and growing arts community here that we’re excited to be involved in.
In a world where we’re overwhelmed by the digital on all sides—our flat screen TVs, our smart phones, our laptops, our cars, etc.—the best part of anything beautiful on paper is how it forces you to slow down and touch. Letterpress printing today is tactile and always enchanting. We want to share that fairy-tale feeling in a very geeky way with the world. Lend a hand, internets. We’d love you.
